If you don't know which system or version you are using, run one of the following commands lsb_release -a or cat /etc/issue in a terminal emulator.

Debian

1. Check here if the last Unknown Horizons release is available for your Debian version.
2. Only if its not available, follow these instructions: http://packages.unknown-horizons.org/select.xml
3. Afterwards, update the package database and install Unknown Horizons:

apt-get update && apt-get install unknown-horizons 

Ubuntu and Linux Mint

1. Check here if the last Unknown Horizons release is available for your Ubuntu/Linux Mint version.
2. Only if its not available, tell Ubuntu/Linux Mint where to find the last Unknown Horizons packages (more Details):

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:christoph-egger/unknown-horizons

3. Afterwards, update the package database and install Unknown Horizons:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install unknown-horizons

sudo layman -a gamerlay && sudo emerge -av unknown-horizons
